A Mayer Brothers Seattle Alaska Yukon Gold Rush Brooch
A very good quality Alaska Yukon Gold Rush era brooch made by Mayer Brothers of Seattle Washington, founded in 1897, Mayer Brothers designed and manufactured gold rush souvenir type jewelry at during the first quarter of the twentieth century, this piece features a pick, shovel, pan and ore winch, it is adorned with actual gold placer nuggets.

A Floral brooch and matching earrings, each mounted with a diamond studded ribbon, engraved from and individual to another individual “1930 Los Angeles”, excellent original condition, very well made, original matte finish, screw back earrings, clearly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement though perhaps made a little later.
